Galleys...gone!

I finished proofing galleys for Courting Cate today, my first in the Courtships of Lancaster County series with Bethany House. I'm so excited about this book! It's a retelling of "The Taming of the Shrew" and it was so much fun to write. I'll blog more about how I came up with the idea and how the series came to be in the weeks to come.

OCW Summer Conference

It's not too late to register for the Oregon Christian Writers' Summer Conference. You'll find editors and agents from top publishing houses across the country, plus lots of professional writers, teaching coaching classes and workshops. I'll be there as a mentor and presenter.

I signed with my agent, Chip MacGregor, at the first OCW conference I attended, ten years ago. I've also met several of the editors I've worked with over the last decade at the conference, plus many life-long friends. Whether you're writing fiction or nonfiction, I highly recommend this conference!

The Amish Bride

Mindy Starns Clark and I recently wrapped up the third book in our series, The Women of Lancaster County. The Amish Bride is off to the printers and will be released this summer. Pre-orders are available at Christianbook.com, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.

The Amish Bride is Ella's story and takes place in both Lancaster County and Nappanee, Indiana. Lexie, from The Amish Midwife, and Ada, from The Amish Nanny, both make appearances in the story. It's been so fun to write these novels. We'll be starting on the fourth in the series soon!

Echoes of the Titanic

Echoes of the Titanic is great read by my co-author, Mindy, with another one of her co-author's--her husband John. I gobbled it up in a day. (And I promise I'm not biased when it comes to Mindy's work!)
